Quotes
Love is a minefield. You take a step and get blown to pieces, put yourself back together again and stupidly take another step. I guess that's human nature. It hurts so much to be alone that we'd all rather blow up than be single.
We have no say over the hand dealt us in life, but we do have a lot of control over how this hand is played. We are responsible for bringing out the meaning of our own lives in each moment that we live. Remember each moment happens only once and can never be retrieved again.
A man can fail many times, but he isn't a failure until he begins to blame somebody else.
He who asks is a fool for five minutes, but he who does not ask remains a fool forever.
I have never met a man so ignorant that I couldn't learn something from him.
It is better to be hated for what you are than to be loved for what you are not.
All this will not be finished in the first 100 days. Nor will it be finished in the first 1,000 days, nor in the life of this Administration, nor even perhaps in our lifetime on this planet. But let us begin.
Friendship
The most beautiful discovery true friends make is that they can grow separately without growing apart.
It is one of the blessings of old friends that you can afford to be stupid with them.
Oh, the comfort, the inexpressible comfort of feeling safe with a person, having neither to weigh thoughts nor measure words, but pouring them all out, just as they are, chaff and grain together, certain that a faithful hand will take and sift them, keep what is worth keeping, and with a breath of kindness blow the rest away.
If you're alone, I'll be your shadow. If you want to cry, I'll be your shoulder. If you want a hug, I'll be your pillow. If you need to be happy, I'll be your smile. But anytime you need a friend, I'll just be me
The best kind of friend is the one you could sit on a porch with, never saying a word, and walk away feeling like that was the best conversation you've had.
A friend is one of the nicest things you can have, and one of the best things you can be.

Lots of things happened from sunday till now. Wonder if I remember them.
Monday
We were still talking about recent events that unfolded on saturday. How awesome it felt. The magic of basketball that is the very essence of my soul. Other than that, nothing much memorable.
Tuesday
Still talked about it =). It was and will be one of my highlights of this year. Trained volleyball after school to prepare for the thailand trip. Went about it quite well I supposed. My setting is getting back to okay and maybe more, but I can't say that for sure in a match. Heck, I'm not sure if the coach is even willing to put me in a match! But no worries. My time is up anyway, time to give way to the juniors. So even if I don't get to play, I don't really mind.
Wednesday
Normal day I guess, went about as usual. School, then a little bit of volleyball.
Thursday
Day went about as usual, except we had english seminar, of which I spent the first half playing psp NBAlive08 matchups against classmates, and the second half actually attempting to listen, but nothing much went in except blogging because we had that pile of notes to help us out. During the five minute break, we, nicholas, jeredy, ken kiat and zheng hou, went to 7-11 =p. I bought cup noodles and thoroughly enjoyed it =). Obviously, we were late going in, and we planned to walk in slowly like we own the place. Lol, but being the first one in, I panicked. I fast walked all the way to my seat, while the rest of them took their sweet time, all cool like =p. I admit, that is kinda cool. Soon, after some camwhoring and taking pictures of people who would serve as potential blackmail material, the seminar ended, and everyone was jolly well on their way home. I got bombed lol. But oh well. I went home with daryl, which was better at the least =). He kept getting sidetracked and bought food lol ==". We reached the MRT faster than other people who didnt take the shortcut lol. We had time to walk one round, go to two 7-11s, and take our time with the food before reaching the MRT few minutes earlier than other people =P. Met cherry and ching siew at the MRT lol. I said bye to daryl as we take different sides of the MRT, but I talked to cherry & ching siew for awhile. It's been awhile since I actually had a conversation with them. I really missed all the times we had BEFORE the november/october incident. But alas, time moves forward, and as such as human beings, so must our lives. I took all the alone time i had in the MRT and the trip home as pondering time for the recent events that unfolded. I seem to be using this phrase alot lately. "Recent events that unfolded". Haha.
Today
Pretty much an okay day? After school went to play bball. I'm afraid when I come back from thailand, the form in basketball i have now would be gone. Granted, I'm really fond of the jumpshot i have now, so I dont really want to lose it. Oh well. I'll just train it back anyway, and come back from the thailand trip stronger =).
On a side note. Watching two people you know in love, is really, really entertaining, be it single or attached. As in, watching two people in the makings of a relationship. One can be both envious and happy for them at the same time =).
I did not know whether I was then a man dreaming I was a butterfuly, or whether I am now a butterfly dreaming I am a man. [Chuang-Tzu]
No matter what kind of advice and prompting you receive from parents, teachers, advisors, and peers, if you honestly listen to your own intellectual instincts -- to your own inner music, to your own drum beat -- you will ultimately "track yourself through life. [Thoreau]
