Quotes
Love is a minefield. You take a step and get blown to pieces, put yourself back together again and stupidly take another step. I guess that's human nature. It hurts so much to be alone that we'd all rather blow up than be single.

We have no say over the hand dealt us in life, but we do have a lot of control over how this hand is played. We are responsible for bringing out the meaning of our own lives in each moment that we live. Remember each moment happens only once and can never be retrieved again.

A man can fail many times, but he isn't a failure until he begins to blame somebody else.

He who asks is a fool for five minutes, but he who does not ask remains a fool forever.

I have never met a man so ignorant that I couldn't learn something from him.

It is better to be hated for what you are than to be loved for what you are not.

All this will not be finished in the first 100 days. Nor will it be finished in the first 1,000 days, nor in the life of this Administration, nor even perhaps in our lifetime on this planet. But let us begin.

Friendship

The most beautiful discovery true friends make is that they can grow separately without growing apart.
It is one of the blessings of old friends that you can afford to be stupid with them.

Oh, the comfort, the inexpressible comfort of feeling safe with a person, having neither to weigh thoughts nor measure words, but pouring them all out, just as they are, chaff and grain together, certain that a faithful hand will take and sift them, keep what is worth keeping, and with a breath of kindness blow the rest away.

If you're alone, I'll be your shadow. If you want to cry, I'll be your shoulder. If you want a hug, I'll be your pillow. If you need to be happy, I'll be your smile. But anytime you need a friend, I'll just be me

The best kind of friend is the one you could sit on a porch with, never saying a word, and walk away feeling like that was the best conversation you've had.

A friend is one of the nicest things you can have, and one of the best things you can be.

Transfer

I'm been thinking about transferring schools. NOTE: ONLY THINKING ABOUT, I CANT POSSIBLY DO IT. It's not that I hate GMS(S), I love my school. I just don't like its policies and the teacher's biase towards basketball. I love everything the school's given me, my friends, the experiences. But then, my dream now is to compete in the east division in the sport i like, either volleyball or basketball; preferably the latter. If I transfer now, I have half-a-year to complete that dream. But if i transfer now, all my hard work I put in volleyball for the past three years would have gone down the drain. I know since it's close to impossible for this dream now, so I'm aiming to compete in basketball once i get into JC. Then, a little birdie told me that if I transfer now, I'd have half a year to have a 70% chance of a JC coach scout me for his team=P. Yes I am scoffing at myself at this thought. But hey, there's always that possibility right? AND, I would love to be in a basketball CCA. Especially now. So the thought of transferring is especially wonderful to me. Ever since i was in primary school, I wondered how would it be like to play basketball in a tense competition enviroment. I craved for it even since then. I really like the thought of transferring, as it could fulfill my wildest dreams. Transferring would have its cons of course. Like, next year would be my O levels. It would be a waste to transfer now. And, to an extreme thought, how would i cope with their school's syllabus? Financially, how the heck can I(my family) afford new textbooks,if needed? And, it totally sucks to be the new kid at school. Specially since everyone else were all the new kid at the same time at sec1. But then, thinking about basketball changes all that. That's how badly I love it.

Guess you could say I'm a basketball fanatic. Let me digress(did i use this right?) on how much fanatical about basketball I am. More than 3/4 of my mangas are all about basketball. I bought every single basketball game I ever saw. I really love basketball shoes, their feel, their texture, and how much higher they help me jump =D. I will FREAK if there's ever a basketball online game(There is one coming out, but im not saying what.) I bounce my basketball around the house whenever i can. I sometimes hug my basketball when I sleep, seriously a great big LOL. I check yahoo NBA every day. And yes, throwing balls into hoops is fun. I mean actual hoops, rims with nets, unlike netless rims. When you shoot a ball into a hoop and it goes clean through it, you will know what i mean. There's no other feeling in the world. And its a sport for big men. I'm no big man, i'm hardly a average man. More of a little man by Singapore standards. And yet, an extra joy for me is how to prove the entire world wrong. Basketball isn't a big man's game, its MY game. LAWL.

Lol, I was tagged. This thing's or *meme*'s been circulating around and it got to me =P.

*According to the rules of the meme:People who are tagged should write a blog post of 7 weird things about them as well as state this rule clearly. In the end, you need to choose 7 people to be tagged and list their names.Don't forget to leave a comment that says 'you are tagged' in their comments and tell them to read your blog.*

1. When someone talks to me about something i'm not really interested in, I establish eye contact with them to give them that false sense that I'm actually listening, but in reality, I'm not. I hear you, but i'm not listening.

2. When I'm alone at home, being emo or high or whatever, I sing out songs out loud to myself depending on my mood. Like if I'm feeling emo, Simple plan's "Welcome to My Life"and so on. If I feel high, Bowling for Soup's "High School Never Ends" and so on.

3. When I see an object that's really high up or generally tall, I'll jump up to try and touch it if no one's around. At home, I jump and touch the ceiling whenever I feel like it. I could be taking my bag to go pack it then BAM! Jump to the ceiling. A short guy's prerogrative I guess: To reach what is unreachable. LOL

4. My mind is forever thinking about something. So when a teacher's teaching geography or something, my mind can be thinking about something totally random, like say, kitties. Then I could be thinking about that "cool cat" that used to be on kids central, then suddenly just murmur to myself" Miao miao miao miao miao miao miao miao miao miao miao miao miao miao miao miao".

5. It seems sometimes with no effort or little effort, I can make things seem funny to myself. Depends on your sense of humour whether you get me or not. Like say, monkeys. Imagine a normal monkey, eating a banana. Now, imagine a FLYING CHAINSAW MONKEY WITH RED GLOWING EYES. My work here is done.=P

6. Sometimes, when noone is on the hallway, and I'm feeling jumpy, I actually skip along to my next destination. Like a young schoolboy skipping to school. Eh. Takes less effort then walking.

7. I think that my opinions on totally random things are right. Like e.g. I personally hate rap. The only rap I liked was "When I'm gone by Eminem". If you listen to rap and have the gall to play it on your phone, I would say that you're just following the radio trend. What the radio plays, you play. Unless you personally want to be a rap star, thereby listening to rap, I won't mind. Dreams are good.

People to do it:
1. Me
2. Myself.
3. Keith
4. Wong YiHeng
5. Mi
6. 我
7. You

My holidays are filled with sports and physical training now =P. Some morns I would go play some basketball, then if its on monday tuesday thursday or friday, its off to CCA in the Afternoon. My hands turn itchy from not writing, so blogging now =P. Song in my blog now is 100years by five for fighting. lol my surprise when I found out Five for fighting was actually ONE person. I have his album, and find out his voice is better suited for emo songs like this, and even "superman". I believe his songs have alot of meaning encrypted into each word. I do believe each of us have a 100years to live. I'm 15, there's still time to lose.

tralalas.

The storm has cleared. The dust has settled. The exams? Over. Out of nothingness, appears happiness. XD.
Survived the russian roulette! And the other guy got killed lol. Tomorrows gonna be a big day. Interclass, exam results, and handing up of OBS forms. MAH GOD I WANT OBS. First and for most, just came back from the health checkup needed for OBS. Everything was in order and.....

************I GREW 2CM! 2 hard fought, long awaited centimetres!****************
Officially, on record, I'm 162cm, 1.62m! God, I'm elated to see a mark over the part which used to say zero. And thanks to this boost in morale(and height), I'm more than ever ready for interclass. I heard it was basketball. Hopefully, it WILL be. Emphasize on the "hope". I was so excited, I actually planned a defence plan and an offence strategy. Today. Better late than never=P. I really have them mindset that my class could actually win the other classes, despite multiple height DISadvantages. But hey, I am going to prove, that no matter how tall you are, you can be good in any sport you are. Basketball is already a discriminating sport. 180 in the NBA is seen as short. That would make 160, the minimum height requirement, really tiny. And I'm more than ever ready to prove any critics wrong.
BASKETBALL STUFF HERE.SCROLL DOWN IF NO WANT SEE.
Now I'm gonna try to see if any one has the luck of the draw, so to say. I am typing out my strategies for all to see, the day before interclass. If any of my friends from other class sees it, their in luck. Any other way, nuts for them. I'm planning my class to play a box and one against two of the dominating classes. In other words, four people play a zone, one guy marks a specific person. The purpose of the zone is force the opponent to shoot, thereby testing their outside shooting and preventing or making it hard to score inside with their ever mighty height. The other classes do not have one or more good shooters outside the trey, so I'm ready to test this. the two classes aforementioned have a really scary shooter. ONE SCARY SHOOTER to be exact. ONE. That's all they got. So one person, possibly a guard will pressure the shooter til he passes it away, or forces the shot, which would be good. I dont believe forced shots have much of a chance to score. And since we will be pressuring the inside, theoratically getting the defensive rebound, from there we will start our offence. Grab the ball, run. FAces opposition, pass it away. The moment we get the rebound, the person will pass it off to a guard, or run the offence by himself. I trust the other classes do not have much fast players either, so we'll take advantage of that. We'll keep passing until we find an open man, which would be incredibly easy as we'll keep running, or jogging for that matter. If by chance the opponent scores, grab the ball, pass to nearest team mate, run. Or thunder the ball, if opportunity arises. Oh man, MY CLASS WILL ROCK THEIR WORLDS.
ENDS HERE.
Exams results would have to wait for tomorrow. Hope for the best.

loll3r

lol. Came back from a sunny HOT, blistering day of basketball, my feet hurt, and when I took off my specs to shower I noticed something. The area around my eyes around where my panda eyes would be if I had them XD, is really white compared to my skin and face. Imagine a panda's face, with the dark spots around the eyes turned white, and the white face turn to a tanned skin colour. That's the closest analogy I can think of. Lol, too much time in the sun with my specs on. Which let me to these conclusions, start playing basketball without my specs, get contacts, or don't give a fuck. Guess which one I chose ^_^.

Regarding the exams, I have done it again. Started barely a few days before exams, and even the mugging on some subjects was started on the days exactly BEFORE the said subjects. Have to say, feeling pretty good about the exams. Specially since others started their mugging like 2weeks before? Last year during midyear, my mugging and looking through of the textbooks were started on the night before the first examination. Though was shaky throughout the exams, I came out of the tests unscathed and passed with a B4 average. Others studied 2weeks before and got lower than me >_<. So this time, I'm kinda confident I'll pass with average marks. I'm pretty confident bout my E maths Paper1, though made my bunch of mistakes. Have to say, SS and Geo are two of my feared subjects, but surprisingly I KNEW EVERY SINGLE QUESTION'S ANSWER. WOOPEE! But for SS no time to finish, Geo my classmate stole my notes on river channel management after I briefed it through, so I struggled through that question. Fair is fair, I "accidentally" told him that the picture in the second question was a headland when it was a wave-cut platform. Aw well. Life has its ups and downs, so I completly fucked up my Amaths paper even though I actually studied for it. As soon as I saw my question I actually thought to myself in typical cartoon like fashion"Aw fuck." Imagine someone studying all night for some test, then when he sits for the next paper, he discovered he studied the wrong stuff. It's that feeling. Halfway through, I didn't much care about my answer anymore, I only wanted to have my working marked. It's upon 80, so well, I dead. I don't think I can get 10 marks out of it. It's that bad. But well it's over, so only three days of examination left before I'm FREE TO DOMINATE THE EARTH! Or sleep, depends on my mood. =P

100years

100 years by Five For Fighting

I'm 15 for a moment
Caught in between 10 and 20
And I'm just dreaming
Counting the ways to where you are
I'm 22 for a moment
She feels better than ever
And we're on fire
Making our way back from Mars
15 there's still time for you
Time to buy and time to lose
15, there's never a wish better than this
When you only got 100 years to live

I'm 33 for a moment
Still the man, but you see I'm a they
A kid on the way
A family on my mind
I'm 45 for a moment
The sea is high
And I'm heading into a crisis
Chasing the years of my life
15 there's still time for you
Time to buy, Time to lose yourself
Within a morning star
15 I'm all right with you
15, there's never a wish better than this
When you only got 100 years to live
Half time goes by
Suddenly you’re wise
Another blink of an eye
67 is gone
The sun is getting high
We're moving on...
I'm 99 for a moment
Dying for just another moment
And I'm just dreaming
Counting the ways to where you are
15 there's still time for you
22 I feel her too
33 you’re on your way
Every day's a new day...
15 there's still time for you
Time to buy and time to choose
Hey 15, there's never a wish better than this
When you only got 100 years to live

Searching through videos and found this song. Lots of meaning to me, meanings of which I somehow just can't describe. I highlighted the parts of the songs that really appealed to me in the lyrics, so maybe they can shed some light on this song.

Now, regarding exams, they're kinda like the Russian roulette. Russian roulette involves a gun, one bullet and two people.A gun's barrel can hold six bullets, so each person hols the gun to his head and fires, if you're lucky, you survive and hear a click. If you're unlucky... You get a bullet in your head. Exams are kinda like that. They can make or break you. So Good luck to everyone! Study hard and Lady luck can shine one you.
