Quotes
Love is a minefield. You take a step and get blown to pieces, put yourself back together again and stupidly take another step. I guess that's human nature. It hurts so much to be alone that we'd all rather blow up than be single.

We have no say over the hand dealt us in life, but we do have a lot of control over how this hand is played. We are responsible for bringing out the meaning of our own lives in each moment that we live. Remember each moment happens only once and can never be retrieved again.

A man can fail many times, but he isn't a failure until he begins to blame somebody else.

He who asks is a fool for five minutes, but he who does not ask remains a fool forever.

I have never met a man so ignorant that I couldn't learn something from him.

It is better to be hated for what you are than to be loved for what you are not.

All this will not be finished in the first 100 days. Nor will it be finished in the first 1,000 days, nor in the life of this Administration, nor even perhaps in our lifetime on this planet. But let us begin.

Friendship

The most beautiful discovery true friends make is that they can grow separately without growing apart.
It is one of the blessings of old friends that you can afford to be stupid with them.

Oh, the comfort, the inexpressible comfort of feeling safe with a person, having neither to weigh thoughts nor measure words, but pouring them all out, just as they are, chaff and grain together, certain that a faithful hand will take and sift them, keep what is worth keeping, and with a breath of kindness blow the rest away.

If you're alone, I'll be your shadow. If you want to cry, I'll be your shoulder. If you want a hug, I'll be your pillow. If you need to be happy, I'll be your smile. But anytime you need a friend, I'll just be me

The best kind of friend is the one you could sit on a porch with, never saying a word, and walk away feeling like that was the best conversation you've had.

A friend is one of the nicest things you can have, and one of the best things you can be.

Hm. A Rant would be coming along in a few days. Right now, I wanna post this, something from Facebook. I advise everyone to take this cuz it's sorta true=p. Those that I higlight in red are things that I know are true about me=p. I really feel that this test read my personality well.

Extroverted iNtuitive Feeling Judging (ENFJ)
The Adviser

ENFJs are lively and enthusiastic facilitators who apply warmth and vision to helping people and meeting their needs. They are aware of people's aspirations and develop plans of action to make those aspirations into reality. They like organization and closure. They are at their best facilitating situations that require interpersonal sensitivity. ENFJs are tolerant and appreciative of others, seeking involvement with them in life's tasks. They are able communicators who are liberal in showing appreciation for others.

Living
ENFJ children want life to be friendly, harmonious, and lively. They are responsible children because they like to please others and meet their needs. In doing for others, they usually find satisfaction for themselves. They are upset by conflict or disharmony. They are pleasant, exuberant and talkative. (I remember my childhood with perfect clarity.)
ENFJ teenagers are constantly on the go, participating in many, many things. They enjoy a wide variety of activities, not only for that variety but also for the action and opportunity to be with others. They love being involved with friends, clubs, and any activities that let them be with others. ENFJs are often voted most congenial or nicest person in their class. Additionally, they may serve as leaders in their school activities. As students, they are able to focus on the interpersonal spirit or nature of the school and to speak eloquently to others about the school's best values. ENFJs are likable because they notice what is good about people.
As young adults, ENFJs set goals early on, both in the personal and professional realms. They follow through diligently and usually attain what they seek. Often the goals they set have to do with making society a better place for people. ENFJs may sometimes feel pulled between financial gain and spiritual gain.
Many ENFJs take their religious and community values seriously and want others to do the same. Loyalty, commitment, and responsibility are important values to ENFJs, even as children. They often settle into organizations that have a values orientation, or they will find a spot in an organization that is centered on values or people's need. ENFJs make responsible spouses, employees, and community members. Because most ENFJs enjoy public speaking and seem to have a way with words, they are often asked to present the position of the groups to which they belong.
Some ENFJs report that at mid-life they seek situations for themselves where it is possible for them to turn inward. This often takes a structured form such as meditation, journaling, or in some cases even career changes.
In retirement, they are likely to want to settle geographically in an area where they have close personal relationships and/or close personal ties to a specific organization. The relationships and values that are imprtant to the ENFJ become even more so in their retirement. Many ENFJs participate in voluntary service work in retirement.

Learning
ENFJs learn best in structured situations in which they are able to talk bout the lesson and interact with their peers. Because they want their teachers to be pleased with them, they attempt to be model students. They are willing to do what is required in order to become personally recognized by their teachers. (Sleeping. LOL) Because they take criticism personally, they can either be wounded by it or be willing to redouble their efforts in order to change the criticism. ENFJs enjoy classes that have subject matter relating to people, their needs, their aspirations, and their characterizations. Many ENFJs choose the liberal arts because it gives them an opportunity to more fully explore humanity.
ENFJs are good students when the subject matter relates to their strong relationship values and people orientation, and when the teacher is warm and personal. They apply the necessary effort and energy to complete the tasks that they start. ENFJs also like some independent learning and projects.

Working
ENFJs focused on the organization's ideals and operate within those ideals. They focus on how organizations should treat people and communicate these values to others. They enjoy leading and facilitating teams, and like to bring matters to mutually beneficial conclusions.
ENFJs prefer a work setting that contains individuals focused on changing things for the betterment of others. They like an environment that is people oriented, supportive, and organized. They do their best when there is a spirit of harmony, with encouragement given for self-expression. And they like their work to be settled and orderly, but not so much so that it is dull, quiet, unchanging, or unchallenging.
The ENFJ organizing style is to plan around the particular value or ideal and to supply the necessary energy toward its achievement or implementation. In the accomplishment of the goal, ENFJs will look at the people available and will assign tasks based on who needs the experience, the exposure, or the development. To a lesser degree, they will assign the task based on who needs the experience, the exposure, or the development. To a lesser degree, they will assign the task based purely on competency, because ENFJs feel it is more important to help others grow and develop new skills. If others have a particular deadline that needs to be met, the ENFJ will work to meet that deadline so that the other person will be happy.
ENFJs prefer occupations that reflect their ideals and that promote harmonious relationships with others. They tend to be attracted to occupation with a service orientation. They generally follow policies and procedures as long as those procedures are compatible with people's needs. They prefer things to be organized and decided rather than haphazard.
Some occupations seem to be more attractive to ENFJs: actor, clergy, consultant, counselor and therapist, designer, home economist, musician, religious worker, teacher, writer, and other occupations that allow them to be of service to others.

Leading
The ENFJ puts relationships and responsibilities before personal leisure. Their time can be imposed upon easily; however, they need to guard against excessive responsiveness to avoid reaching overload.
They particularly enjoy reading novels and seeing movies in order to see how the characters play out the life issues and questions presented in the story; it gives them an opportunity to see how others live and get along. They enjoy discussing their reading and may join book groups in order to do that. They like going to movies and plays with others and like to comment on the plot characterization. They are close observers of others' behavior.
Many ENFJs join religious or community-oriented groups whose focus is to work for better understanding between people. ENFJs like discussion and an opportunity to talk about values and philosophical topics. Many do not like activities in which there is a great deal of competition or in which someone or something could be hurt.

Loving
For the ENFJ, love means flowers, poetry, candlelight dinners --- in other words, romance with a capital R. When they first fall in love, they fall in love with an ideal perspective of what the relationship will be, and they fall deeply, head over heels. ENFJs value commitment and loyalty, and look for it from their partner. They typically enjoy activities with their partners that allow them to discuss the relationship and focus on what each person truly believes. When commitments are broken, ENFJs become upset because they see the breakup as a personal reflection on them and because they have idealized the relationship. Since they are willing to put the time and effort into the relationship, they expect it will continue on as it was from the very start. Relationships have their ups and downs; the downs, however, are particularly hard on the ENFJ, who does not manage disharmony well.
When scorned, ENFJs may be resentful, spiteful, and deeply hurt. Because they are acutely aware of emotional matters they take the breakup of a relationship especially hard. They are willing to discuss the ending of the relationship with only a few others because they feel a sense of blame and shame for the relationship not working out.

ENFJ Relationships

ENFJs put a lot of effort and enthusiasm into their relationships. To some extent, ENFJs define themselves by the closeness and authenticity of their personal relationships, and are therefore highly invested in the business of relationships. They have very good people skills, and are affectionate and considerate. They are warmly affirming and nurturing. They excel at bringing out the best in others, and warmly supporting them. They want responding affirmation from their relationships, although they have a problem asking for it. When a situation calls for it, the ENFJ will become very sharp and critical. After having made their point, they will return to their natural, warm selves. They may have a tendency to "smother" their loved ones, but are generally highly valued for their genuine warmth and caring natures.

ENFJ Strengths
Most ENFJs will exhibit the following strengths with regards to relationship issues:

Good verbal communication skills
Very perceptive about people's thoughts and motives
Motivational, inspirational; bring out the best in others
Warmly affectionate and affirming
Fun to be with - lively sense of humor, dramatic, energetic, optimistic
Good money skills
Able to "move on" after a love relationship has failed (although they blame themselves) (OMFG this is so fucking true.....)
Loyal and committed - they want lifelong relationships
Strive for "win-win" situations
Driven to meet other's needs

ENFJ Weaknesses
Most ENFJs will exhibit the following weaknesses with regards to relationships issues:

Tendency to be smothering and over-protective
Tendency to be controlling and/or manipulative
Don't pay enough attention to their own needs
Tend to be critical of opinions and attitudes which don't match their own
Sometimes unaware of social appropriateness or protocol
Extremely sensitive to conflict, with a tendency to sweep things under the rug as an avoidance tactic
Tendency to blame themselves when things go wrong, and not give themselves credit when things go right
Their sharply defined value systems make them unbending in some areas
They may be so attuned to what is socially accepted or expected that they're unable to assess whether something is "right" or "wrong" outside of what their social circle expects.

ENFJs as Lovers
ENFJs make warm, committed lovers who are willing to go to great lengths for the sake of "The Relationship". They're totally dedicated to the relationship, and to their partner, and have a special skill for warmth and affirmation which brings out the best in their mates. They take their commitments seriously, and are likely to put forth a lot of effort into making a relationship work once they have committed themselves to it. In the event that a relationship fails, the ENFJ will feel a lot of guilt, and take on blame for the failure, but they will move on with their lives with relative ease, without looking backwards. (Again, so, so true... Sadly, or fortunately, I don't know.)
Since relationships are central to the ENFJ's life, they will be very "hands on" and involved with their intimate relationships. They may be in the habit of constantly asking their partner how they're doing, what they're feeling, etc. This behavior may be a bit smothering, but it also supports a strong awareness of the health (or illness) of the relationship.
Although the ENFJ will probably not ask for it, they need to be given sweet words and loving affirmation. Since they are so externally focused on serving people, they do not always pay attention to their own needs. Since much of their personal satisfaction comes from bringing happiness to others, they're able to ignore their own needs and still be happy much more easily than other types. However, if they focus entirely on giving without doing some taking, they may find themselves in an unhealthy, unbalanced relationship. They need to work on being aware of their needs, and being OK with verbalizing those needs to their partners.
A problem area for ENFJs in relationships is their very serious dislike of conflict. ENFJs will prefer to brush issues under the rug rather than confront them head-on, if there is likely to be a conflict. They are also likely to "give in" easily in conflict situations, just to end the conflict. They might agree to something which goes against their values just to end the uncomfortable situation. In such cases, the problem is extended and will return at a later time. The ENFJ needs to realize that the world will not end if there is a disagreement, and that dealing with things immediately initiates closure. Ignoring issues will not make them go away.
In general, the ENFJ is intensely and enthusiastically involved in their personal relationships. They bring fun and warmth into the equation, and are willing to work hard to make things work.
Although two well-developed individuals of any type can enjoy a healthy relationship, ENFJ's natural partner is the INFP, or the ISFP. ENFJ's dominant function of Extraverted Feeling is best matched with a partner whose dominant function is Introverted Feeling. An ENFJ and INFP are ideally matched, because they share the Intuitive way of looking at the world, but the ENFJ and ISFP are also a very good match.

ENFJs as Parents
ENFJs take their parenting role very seriously. They consider the task of passing on values and goals to their children as paramount, and will strive to consistently be a good role model to their children. The ENFJ considers it their responsibility to make sure that their children turn out well. This characteristic, combined with the ENFJ's definite values and ideas about the way things should be, usually results in the ENFJ parent being rather strict, and having high expectations for the behavior of their children. On the other hand, the ENFJ is also warm and affectionate with their children, and very supportive and affirming. The ENFJ can also be counted on to take care of day-to-day necessities for their children.
It is not usually easy to be the child of an ENFJ. The ENFJ's life focus is centered in the sphere of relationships. They take their relationship roles very seriously. They are very "hands-on" in a relationship, always monitoring its progress. This behavior may be smothering to some individuals. ENFJs have very definite value systems, and well-defined ideas about what is right and what is wrong. Since they believe that part of their parental role involves passing their values and ideas to their children, and since they are so concerned and involved with their children, the ENFJ has a tendency to be a strict, controlling parent, who is very aware of their children's actions. The ENFJ needs to remember to allow their children the room for growth which is necessary if they are to evolve into healthy, well-adjusted adults. With a bit of effort, it will be possible for the ENFJ to balance their need to pass their values and ideals down to their children with their children's need to develop as individuals.
The ENFJ will put forth a good amount of effort to make their children's home environment warm, comforting and cheerful. They will be ready with a kiss and a band-aid for any hurt. Their normal attitude towards their children will be loyal, proud, warm, and affirming.
As is the case with most types, ENFJ parents may have problems with their children as they reach puberty. Their children will need more space at that age, and will begin to resent the over-protective tendencies of the ENFJ. This problem will be magnified in situations where the ENFJ is very manipulative. Since ENFJs are gifted with exceptional people skills and personal presence, some ENFJ individuals who are not supported by life's circumstances get into the habit of using these skills for personal gain to get what they want or need out of situations. As they grow older, their children will inevitably see the manipulative tendencies for what they are, and will begin to question their parents' value systems, and strongly resent being forced to comply with a set of values which may be somewhat hypocritical. The manipulative ENFJ, who still has strongly-held values which they are driven to pass to their children, may then find themselves "a day late and a dollar short". As an ENFJ, your best bet is to be aware of your type's manipulative tendencies and to make every effort that you are not using them in a negative way.
Usually, the ENFJ has nothing but the best intentions with regards to their children. They are remembered by their children as very warm and supportive (although strict), and are valued for passing on their goals and ideals.

ENFJs as Friends
ENFJs are warm, sociable people who are keenly in tune with other people's feelings and perspectives. They enjoy supporting and bringing out the best in others. They are energetic and fun to be with. They seek authenticity in their close relationships, and are very sensitive to the needs of others. All of these characteristics make the ENFJ valued by their peers as a warm, supportive and giving friend.
ENFJs are interested in all sorts of people, and are likely to be able to understand and relate to all of the personality types. The will excel at getting along with all sorts of people when the situation demands that they do so. However, they will not choose to spend their personal time around all of the types. They may resist spending a lot of time with Sensing Perceiving types, whose carefree "live for the moment" attitude may conflict with the ENFJ's strongly held value system. When seeking companionship that is not romantic, ENFJs will be drawn to other Feelers who have similar values and ideas. Since they live in a people-oriented world, they are not comfortable with objective judgments which do not consider people issues. Consequently, ENFJs are not likely to have close friendships with strong Thinking types. They will be likely to especially enjoy the company of other iNtuitive Feelers, as well as Sensing Judgers.

Lots of things to rant about. But seeing as it IS Valentine's day, let's go with that.

First and foremost, Happy Valentine's Day to everyone. Today is the day of love, but even so, let's not let couples hog it all up, shall we? On a side note, to clear things up, I didn't get anything, aside from a lone ferrero rocher. Not using that as an excuse to be angry at Valentine's day, but rather, rant at Valentine's day as a whole and how it singles single people out. Lol. That, and I don't really care about whether I get anything on this day anymore. Sure if I get something, I'll be happy, but if I don't, doesn't mean I'll mope about the whole day, and get myself depressed over it on purpose. I'm not, and don't want to be like that (not anymore anyway).

Valentine's day. The dreaded day for single people, the day most looked forward to by couples cuz it's almost like a second anniversary. To me, it's almost like everyone's birthday/christmas, what with the choco exchanging and giving and such. Only that a chosen few don't get any at all. That's just harsh. I mean, back then, or at least I think, V-day presents were given on the sly. With chocolates putting under the tables, lockers, and for the ever more daring, giving it to that someone once you catch them alone. I still think maybe, that should be the way. Do honestly prefer this, or everyone giving chocos to each other right in front of you and in your desperation would really like one but know you will never get one that day? The former way, would at least spare the feelings cuz that way there would be anonyminity. Let's just say, you've known this person more than another person knows this person. How would you like it if this person gives presents to that another person and not you and you just sit there looking on? Not so nice now, is it. Personally, I was planning to buy kit kats for everyone in class, but for lack of time I couldn't.

Valentine's day is a funny day, really. What if everyone giving chocos to each other in class, you can just blast music out loud and no one would bother to give a shit. Heck, I blasted an emo song no one cared. Okay, understable, no one cares for the emo kid, fine. But when you blast "Who let the dogs out" by the Baha men and no one cares or even screams at you to shut it up, you know there's hilarity in it. Baha men is like so nice to say. It just rolls of your tongue. BAHA MEN. This paragraph is meant for cometic gestures, not to say that I acted emo for attention.

The whole day itself was monotonous. Nothing important was really done. So let's skip all the way to the part after I'm done playing basketball at around 5pm. So I was on my way to Bugis. Seeing as I had nothing better to do on the way there, I counted the number of couples from Aljunied, to all the way I reached kinokuniya at Parco. 26couples. From young, to adult, to middle aged people were holding hands. Surprisingly, this is a low score, seeing that Bugis wasn't so densely populated. I say this as a good thing. Ever since parco got renovated, it has so many people it seemed as though people had taken up residence there. Hence, densely populated. I went into the bookshop, hoping to see my favourite comic up for sale. Alast, it was not meant to be. So I Bought Pokemon Vol26, and a novel entitled"I am a cat". I am not shitting you guys. This is at least, a 150-200more pages novel, and it is that title. I read a the first few pages a few months ago, and I liked it. So I decided to buy it. More on it when I finished the whole book. It's actually a japanse translated to english book, so it can be said as good japanese literature converted to good english Literature ^^. After that wanted to go buy the new simple plan cd. I am a huge simple fanatic, did i say so before? If not, OMFG ITS SIMPLE PLAN AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAA!!!! OMGOMGOMGOMGOMGOMGOMGOMGOMGOMGOMGOMG~!!!!~!~!~!~!!~!!! THEIR NEW CD IS OUT AAAAAAAAAA111111!@! !#!$dd

*Ahem*. What an excuse for a new paragraph. So anyway, their new album is entitled "When I'm gone" And there's a whole lot of new songs to last me a good time ^^. Heard they "grew up" in this album. Still hope they managed to keep their style of downbeat lyrics with upbeat music. To my utter surprise, I just remembered. Ever since bugis remodeled, I can't find their cd shop. If not, there wasnt one. So, SHIT. Argh. Gotta get to a cd shop asap.

How cool would it be to live in a world just like Pokemon's? Yes, I just asked that question. Cool pokemon that can fly, bring you everywhere and be your friend no matter what. I just realised that the pokeball is like a forcibly binding friendship contract. It's like saying," Hey, you may as well be my friend. Because 1. I already own you in my terms, and 2. you're stuck in a little red and white ball. Coochie coochie coochie!'

Aaaaaaa.... Haven't typed like this in a long time. Feels good. On a final note, let me end this post with something from me, and a meaningful quote. BAH HUMBUG Valentines day.

Each time a person stands for an ideal, or acts to improve the lot of others, or strikes out against injustice, he or she sends forth a tiny ripple of hope. And crossing each other from a million different centers of energy and daring, those ripples build a current that can sweep down the mightiest walls of oppression and resistance. Few are willing to embrace the disapproval of their fellows, the censure of their colleagues, the wrath of their society. Moral courage is a rarer commodity than bravery in battle or great intelligence. Yet it is the one essential vital quality for those who seek to change a world that yields most painfully to change. Okay, been a while since I post. No Matter. Chinese New Year was so and so. Got $239 this year. In the span of 10minutes, $1 became $9. I'll leave the rest to the imagination.

The real reason I've come to post about is really about a movie shown in english class today. "Dead Poet's Society". Some may have heard of it, some have not. I do not want to get into what's the movie is about, rather I would like to express about how much this movie inspried me in the way. As I'm sure you can tell, the word poet in the title obviously means this movie involves literature in a way. There were many rather meaningful poems quoted in the movie, none of which I will put here=). If I had a choice, I would take both Pure Biology AND Literature. Language just amazes me sometimes. Every end of every post, I would put up some meaningful quote and/or poetry I found on the net. Sadly, I only remember one of two. So I want to make it a habit to myself to at least attempt to memorise one quote/poem a day. Heck, it would improve my language, and it would certainly add a certain zing to life. Carpe Diem, my friends, Seize the Day, for it would forever be gone if you don't. Carpe Diem!

The day light breaks again
Another day has begun.
But still no sleep has come.
My body is weary
My mind overworked.
I lie awake thinking
But what I am unsure.
I need to break free from the cycle I endure.
Everyday is the same and the nights are undistinguished.
I feel as though I am being pushed along with the tide
Unable to break free from the everyday flow.
This is not me I need to change, before time takes over
And I am unable to change.
I need to be freed from the grasp of ordinary
And become that person I have always longed for.
Express myself in every way, and conquer the dreams as I lie awake.
Then I may fall asleep and put my mind to rest.
Make changes in my life and help those in need.
I would like to touch everyone's life in a positive way
And leave my mark on society before I fade away.

And so I shaved my head. And got contacts =D. First of all, the trip to the barbers.

I went to a barber downstairs my block. I always went there since I was sec1 and 2, but stopped when I was sec3. I remember the last time I went, I told the uncle to "cut here cut there" lots of complicated stuff. So when I walked in on saturday, his face was like sian sian like that. "Aiyah it's that boy again.." would be the words that would come out of his mouth if he weas rude=p. But he wasn't. So when he asked me whether I wante3d to cut short, I asked him to cut really really short. Then his expression suddenly lit up to a smile, almost instantenously! It was so immediate, it was scary. It was such a wide grin, I could see his toothy smile, with two front teeth missing. "Uncle, why you suddenly so happy arh? I say cut short you suddenly very happy leh!" LOL. Serious.

Contacts are a huge pain, but a comfortable accessory. When I went to try them on on sunday, LOL it was really difficult to put them on ==". Heck, this morning, I had evrything ready by 6.20! Which was really early for me. All I had to do was put on my contacts. I left the house at 6.55am. It took me 30MINUTES to put on those DAMNED CONTACTS. The funny thing is, when I said out loud,'Walau hen nan fang leh" Which means,'Damn it's hard to put on", I tried to put it on and it just popped in ==". They're really comfortable though. And it feels as though i'm wearing nothing at all. Haha. People think I got brown contacts, but let me state this now: I did not get brown contacts. They are daily, disposable, and most importantly FYI it is transparent.

And so today there are LOTS of homework to do, so signing off now.

I have a special butt... It has special curves, and it kinda has it's own attitude... I think the audience can feel that, and if I were to try to put someone else's butt in that place, the audience would feel cheated and emotionally insulted. [Will Smith on doing underwear scenes]
